MIND (Malayalee Indians, Ireland) is a voluntary community organisation established in February 2008. We are based in Dublin. The main aim of MIND is to promote the culture, tradition and the rich heritage of Kerala (South India) in the society we live in and also use our events as a platform to share and learn the Irish culture and tradition and also integrate with other migrant communities in Dublin City.

Apart from other cultural events, we also organise annual sports events like Cricket tournament and Badminton tournament. Both these events are well known in the community and the one’s the young men and adult look forward to actively participate every year.

This year we are gearing up to organise the “All Ireland Badminton Tournament – 2015” on Saturday, 28th November 2015 at Baldoyle Badminton Centre, Baldoyle, Dublin 13. Last year we had 45 teams participated in the event and players came from all over Dundalk, Cork, Wexford etc., actively participated. This year we expect more participants from all over Ireland and also from other nationalities (In the past we had teams from Indonesia, Pakistan, Ireland, Malaysia). Taking this forward we want to clearly highlight and spread the message of INTEGRATION through SPORTS and use this event to showcase actively the rich diversity in Dublin city.

This year we are planning a mixed doubles category and look forward to having around 70 teams. Registration closes by 15th November and by that time we would know the exact number of teams and will decide the fixtures. The trophies for all the winners in all categories will be presented that evening.
